A petrol station in Oxfordshire was burgled of £600 worth of items by a masked gang driving an Audi.

The incident occurred at the Murco petrol station on High Street in Sutton Courtenay during the early hours of Thursday, April 11.

A silver Audi TT was seen on CCTV to be parked up on the forecourt directly outside the door to the garage shop at just after 1am. 

Two people got out of the vehicle with both people dressed in black with face coverings.

One of the people smashed the upper window of the main door and the other entered the store through the window.

This person then appeared to grab items from the shelves before climbing out of the shop before the vehicle made off from the scene.

Goods to a value of around £500-600 appear to have been stolen from within the station according to the police.

Thames Valley Police are now investigating the incident and appealed to the public for help on Friday, April 12.

In a statement addressing the burglary, officers confirmed that no arrest have yet been made.

A spokesperson for the force said: “Anybody who witnessed this incident, or who may have dash-cam or CCTV from the area is urged to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting reference 43240164555.

“No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing.”
