Police officers had to rush into action in an Oxfordshire town - but not to arrest a person for a suspected crime.
Thames Valley Police was alerted to two Chow Chow dogs running amongst traffic in Abingdon on Thursday morning.
The dogs were safely rescued by police in the Tisley Park area.
Officers took them to the police station to look after the furry friends until they were retrieved by an owner.
