SWIMMING: Whittall's on course for treble
Josh Whittall, from Abingdon Vale, swam his way to three long-course club records at the No-Frills meet in Aldershot on Saturday.
The 13-year-old broke the open records in both the 200 breaststroke (3mins12.97) and the 200m individual medley (2.58.09) and also secured the 14 &under record for the 100m freestyle with 1.07.67.
Other age-group club records were set by Nicola Curtis, 12, in the 100m backstroke (1.23.42) anbd Tim Blackman, 16, in the 100m freestyle (1.03.52).
Vale swimmers Tamara Driver-Jones, Emma Walton and Amy Whittall all set personal bests.
The following day, Abingdon's Harry Basterfield and Olivia Lawnelped Oxford & North Bucks to second place in the inter-county gala at Kingerlee.
Basterfield swum in two relays, and Law in the 100m freestyle.
