Joe Cheong entered the record books when he won the Didcot and District's junior closed championship for the fifth time.

In the final against his fellow Moreton club member James Goldsby-West, Cheong triumphed 11-5 in the third to make history.

The record entry of 21 players for the event at the White Horse Leisure and Tennis Centre were split into three groups.

After six group games for each player, the semi-finals saw Goldsby-West beat Letcombe's Ben Prior, while Cheong saw off Abingdon's Kota Goto.
