TENNIS: Holly lands junior award
Wallingford's Holly Hoare received the Oxfordshire junior girl-of-the-year award after last week's Junior County Closed Tournament
The award was presented in recognition of the 15-year-old's contribution after breaking into the county ladies team this summer.
Hoare also secured the Oxfordshire under 18 girls singles title, and the under 18 mixed doubles crown with her partner David Evans, in addition to being runner-up in the under 16 singles.
Ben Cronin, from Grove, won the under 10 boys singles crown. This was the fourth title success of the summer for Cronin, who is coached in Abingdon.
