TENNIS: Abingdon club seek entries

Abingdon Tennis Club are inviting entries for two popular tournaments next month.

The Preston Bowl an open mixed doubles competition will be held on Sunday August 13.

The winners will be presented with a prestigious trophy, first won in 1934 and a prize of £100 from the sponsors Tonks Brothers Funeral Directors.

Abingdon's open tournament for juniors is held from August 13-19. Age groups range from under 8s to under 18s. There are 31 events in total.
