Wantage and Grove Cricket Club will be sharing their facilities with another sport following the formation of the White Horse Croquet Club.
Last week,15 enthusiasts met at the ground to establish the new club, whose secretary, Barbara Williamson.
The new club will play every Wednesday (10-am-12) and Thursday (2-4pm). Subscriptions were set at £20, including £5 for social membership of the cricket club, who prepared the green.
Alan Trinder was elected as chairman and other officers included David Morgan (vice-chairman) and Lesley Wilkins (treasurer).
