Snow hits charity run

Today's charity OX5 fun run around Blenheim Palace has been postponed after heavy snowfall overnight.

Several inches is blanketing the county and the West Oxfordshire course and organisers said they regretted making the decision this morning.

A spokesman said: "We're sorry that we have had to postpone the event but it just would not have been safe nor enjoyable for the runners and supporters.

"For this we were at the mercy of Mother Nature.

"We will re-arrange it as soon as we can."
