The reaction of South Oxfordshire District Council to the offer made by local Rotarians of a new clock for Didcot is ridiculous.
This is a genuine offer made in the memory of a significant local character and businessman Paul Tappin and deserves to be taken more seriously.
The planners at SODC should be looking for ways of making it happen, not putting obstructions in its way.
