Brothers team up for garden wildlife book
WORLD renowned wildlife artist Richard Lewington has joined with his brother Ian for the first time with his new book, Guide to Garden Wildlife.
Richard Lewington, 56, has also done the words for the new book and the whole production was made editor's choice in the BBC Wildlife magazine.
Mr Lewington lives in Appleford and his brother Ian, 43, lives in Didcot. Ian is a noted bird illustrator and he did all the birds for the new book.
Mr Lewington said: "Gardens are great for wildlife and most people do not realise just how much is going on around them.
"But there is a growing green movement, and wildlife gardening is coming to the fore.
"The whole thing is very topical at the moment and we hope it will appeal to gardeners in general as well as wildlife enthusiasts."
The book covers everything from slugs to hedgehogs, from ladybirds to woodpeckers and woodlice.
The book is published at £12.95 by British Wildlife and is now available in bookshops.
