Falklands nurse attends reunion
AN OXFORDSHIRE nurse was reunited with more than 170 former Royal Navy personnel and veterans on board the P&O Cruises superliner Aurora in Southampton.
Liz Ormerod, of East Hagbourne, was a senior nursing aboard the hospital ship Uganda during the Falklands War in 1982.
She said she had mixed feelings about attending the reunion and meeting some of the severely injured servicemen she helped treat more than 25 years ago.
She said: "It stirred up a lot of emotions."
