CHILDREN across the county received a treat when an Oxford-based motorcycle club delivered them some goodies.
Caldarium Motorcycle Club held its annual charity Egg Run donating 940 Easter eggs and 520 cuddly toys to children in Bicester, Abingdon and Oxford.
Youngsters at Bardwell School in Bicester - a special school that supports children aged between two and 16 years old - were overjoyed to receive their gifts.
Chris Hughes, headteacher of the school in Hendon Place, said: "We can't thank the Caldarium riders enough for their generosity.
"The children really look forward to receiving their eggs, and the extra cash helps to keep us going through the year."
The event was the eighth time the run had taken place and it attracted about 100 bikers, who turned up on motorcycles ranging from sports bikes to cruisers and mopeds to Harley-Davidsons.
Caldarium's trike-riding pink rabbit was head of the procession which started at The General Elliott in South Hinksey, Oxford.
It then arrived at Bardwell School, on to Viking House Respite Home in Northway, Oxford, and finishing at the Barnardo's Summerfield Respite Home in Abingdon.
During the evening the club, which meet at the Lord Nuffield Club in Cowley, held a fundraising raffle which raised more than £900. The money will be shared between the children's centres.
The event was supported by Midcounties Co-operative, which donated more than 300 Easter eggs this year and have supported the Egg Run for the past four years.
Caldarium spokesman Christine Earle said: "All the children were stood outside waiting for us to arrive. They looked so happy to see us.
"They had non-stop smiles on their faces and enjoyed having a look at the bikes as well as sitting on them.
"This is the eighth year we have been doing this. We are grateful to both the Co-op and the Post Office for being so generous.
"It's brilliant that we are able to help children who are disadvantaged."
Caldarium Motorcycle Club was formed in August 2000 and has donated approximately £21,000, 10,000 Easter eggs and 4,300 cuddly toys, to local children with special needs.

What a lovely thing to do for Easter for children - how kind of the Caldarium Motorcycle Club.
